i need to convert wav to mp3. i don't want to buy anything to do it. does anyone know of any programs that will do this? (and not just the first 60 seconds of the wav?)

There's the free version of RealJukebox called RealJukebox Basic. That'll do it I'm sure. From www.real.com

cheers, i'll try them then. i got a program off the net, can't remember what it's called, but it encodes the first minute which does fuck all good. it also has an annoying habit of popping up every time i click on some other music program.
