Roost were a semi-budget company briefly set up by ex-sound city employees AFAIK .
I had a 4x12 roost cabinet for years - it was reasonably sturdy but had thinner tolex and was lighter than the equivalent marshall or orange cab and had fanes not celestions.

X music has Westwood guitars (Les Paul or SG shape) with a hard case for 130euro. I'm sure the guitars aren't anything special but could be good for messing around with/modifying.
