about 3 years ago i got into a whole ATDI kick, and downloaded everything i could video-wise off Kazaa - that band on the Conan Obrien show = best thing i have ever seen.

At the drive in kick ass, but how come nobody here likes the mars volta? sure theyre no ATDI but theyre pretty cool and have many of the same elements as ATDI. I love yer man's voice.

atdi at reading 2000 was one of the best sets i'll ever see by a band.
i thought they kinda sucked in belfast about six months later,
MCD blew them off the stage. then they were gone, and we were left with the emo explosion. thanks a lot guys.

i saw defacto in london after that, which sucked too, haha.

mars volta were ok when i saw them. better on record.

Mars Volta are so shit. Their first EP was really good but after that it was horrible.

But anyway ATDI were the first good band I think I ever got into. Really blew me away when I heard them and they opened the door for me to get into more exciting things!

ya..thats sorta true, except the part about them being shit. saw them in london a few months back and they were deadly..but a bit "uhhh..when did that song end and this one begin?".

Hahaha! That Conan O' Brien performance was fuckin' amazing! They were insaaaaane! Fuckin' hell, poor Conan was scared shitless.

I quite like what I've heard of Mars Volta and some of what I've heard of Sparta but I prefer the energy of ATD-I.
