I got The Bug - London Zoo album and it was zehr gut. Not sure if it's Dub Step though...is it? Anyway any other suggestions along these lines?

Dubstep... it just never kicks off.
The drops are universally shit.
It's comedown music, lying down music, k-hole music.

I'd prefer to go to mass.

There's only two guys I'd actually go see (and have) in a club and that's Benga & SKream. It's space out home music mostly for me. In saying that, some of the mixes out there are far from the usual 100bpm slow stuff.

If you want a track that kicks off in a big way, you need to listen to 'Skream - Fick' from Skreamizm Vol. 5. One of the best tracks this year.

I saw Benga when he was down at Twisted Pepper.
Not my thing at all - sedate, pedestrian and toothless.
I went and watched Fabio play a deadly set although the Irish MC
was a total embarassment. Nothing quite like a Dublin boy trying
to sing Bad Boys with a faux Jamaican accent.

Thought Benga in Twisted Pepper was absolutely brilliant. Im not
massively into dubstep at the moment, more so into techno, but there's
been some really interesting crossover between the two going on in the
last 12 months thats managed to get me interested again.

As already mentioned, Skull Disco has put out some really good stuff
and Appleblims Dubstep Allstars mix is well worth checking out for
a good idea of what names are big at the moment. Peverelist, Martyn,
2562, Pinch...etc all great stuff. Hyperdub is another label you'd
definitely want to check out. Pretty much all there output over
last few months has been great

"...far from the usual 100bpm slow stuff"

100bpm dubstep? Thats a bit slow, no? Most dubstep I've heard doesn't go anywhere near 100bpm.
Don't get the whole argument of dubstep being stay-at-home music, normally it's dished out by folk who have never been to a proper dubstep night. Like most other genres, you have your mellow stuff and your banging stuff - ruling it out as sedate and pedestrian is a bit ill-informed.

Anyways, these chappies have all impressed my stereo over the last year or so...

2562
Kode 9
Martyn
Boxcutter
Skream
Burial
Appleblim
Rustie & Joker

T-woc, Major Graves, The Optimist all flying the banner for good tunage made on these shores.

I like the spacier/jazzier(?!) end as in Burial/2562 but can't get into the harder/dancier stuff like Benga. Anyways, some of my favourites are the Hyperdub releases from Ikonika and Darkstar - though I'm sure they're best appreciated played on vinyl over a massive system the (not-for-free) value option is as downloads from Boomkat.
