I'm very, very up and down wit the dubstep - it became a bad formula wit almost record breaking speed and yet there are still some excellent producers out there - all mentioned above - me personal favourite being Starkey...
As far as recomends - for a mere 5 euro in bpm Wexford on Saturday I netted Plastician's Rinse fm mix which is just deadly stuff very "machiney" techno-y step and good and fast.
I'd agree with Neilio that it works better in the context of a set with various styles or with some vocals or MCing.
For tough dancey stuff tho' you can't beat Caspa and Rusko - or stuff in that general style.
The Bug takes some beating as does Prince Kong or anything on Kaboogie (which is rarely pure dubstep but they usually have a bit of wobble and rakes of bass!)
I likes a bit of <<stoopid>> with me wobble tho' - more and more checking out bassline and generally fast four four - for which you can't beat Trash Menagarie for Kingdomm, drop the Lime, bik bok and the likes
- for me just like 1987 primitive house grooves
but speeded up a mite!
Simple and effective as good music should be!
