its funny how many bands in that list i hate, and so many more that i think pedal uninspiring cliche filled bore-core.

i counted three acts who i think are actually doing anything interesting, and almost all the others i have seen shiteing on at various dublin hellholes....

(no offence nessy)

"Bore-core" - smashing term.

What are The Urges like? Great name, for starters...

What's the story with Mumblin Deaf Ro (Full Band) ? The aul' Ro has a band now? Can't miss this then!

i offer to roast the tenderised carcass of the singer from pinion over a fire stoked with the remaining band members. for 3 german cent.

he once told me that its helped his band that he 'looks like calvin from calvin and hobbes'.

where i found the power to keep my clenched fists behind my back i'll never know.

Dunno, but they've done some fantactic and artistic* graffiti in Pearse Street Dart Station. Rock'n'roll!

*not really.

How did you guys learn his songs so fast if this is true? Is it true? Ro?

tis true, we've been rehearsing on the sly

Yeah, steerage have very kindly agreed to play with me so I can play some of the fuller sounding songs from the album on the launch night (cough - 21 Feb at the lower deck - €7, which includes a copy of the album). We've been rehearsing since xmas and the steerage gents picked up the songs lightening quick. Nessy very kindly set us up with this gig as a warm up for the launch night. If anyone can make it down to see us that would be swell. It'll be a short set, but the songs are simmering nicely and we hope to blow, if not your mind, then at least some part of your body.

For the moment we're called An mumblin deaf hermetic steerage ro collective. We wanted to call ourselves quantum, but that name was taken.

Anyway, where is Barry these days?

Gigsmart presents

Fingermouse

I heard a rock and roll rumour that one of the guys in fingermouse got into a fight with huey from the fun loving criminals at a gig they (fingermouse) played in voodoo.

I Find that hard to believe, Huey's never there. He's too busy down in DiFontaine Pizza, puttin on the weight, mafia style.

I love that place.
