Apparently the filmmakers massaged the truth a little bit for the film.

The film makes it looks like Wiebe and Mitchell never met until the scene where Mitchell comes into the place where Wiebe is playing and seems to leave straight away. Apparently they met many times before that and he didn't leave straight away that night. He stayed and chatted to everyone including Wiebe.

Also the disputed score/dodgy video thing was settled very quickly in Wiebe's favour and didn't drag out like the film implies.

It's a shame because it's an awesome documentary but this stuff takes the shine off it a little.

There is alot of controversy over the film in the gaming community it portrays. Another film maker went apeshit over it because loads of the guys won't talk to him for his own film because they believe King of Kong was a dishonest hack job.
