The Filthy Dukes
(Fabric/Kill Em All, London)
Shock DJs (Shock, Dublin)
Pod, Wednesday 7th February

Just confirmed for the evening of Wednesday 7th February at Pod, Harcourt St. Dublin (As
part of the Trinity Arts Fest) is a one off Shock Club Party with special guests, London dj pair;
The Filthy Dukes. who fly in to brighten up our midweek with a set of riotus new wave,
indie & disco alongside Dublin's Shock DJs & more guests yet to be announced.

The Filthy Dukes, described as 'a dandy and a punk, an artist and a philistine, a lover and a
fighter'! The pair have played together for 2 years. One grewing up on Elgar and The Stones
whilst the other was almost completely without music until his teens when he discovered
the dulcet tones of Acid House and Polish Jazz!

From a collision of music styles the Dukes were formed, bringing tune selection & mixing
ability to dancefloors all across the world leaving smiles on the faces of thousand of people,
wegding numerous styles together whilst always keeping the dancefloor busy.

At their Kill 'Em All, Let God Sort it Out' night. The Dukes bring it right back to gritty new wave,
old school 80's electro, punkfunk/alt sounds and italodisco playing alongside other residents
such as Simian Mobile Disco & Deven Miles.

The Filthy Dukes also bring their sound to a monthly residancy in London's Fabric nightclub
(www.fabriclondon.com) where they dish out a similar sound to hundreds of satisfied customers
every month.in 2006 they toured with Hot Chip & WhoMadeWho and also The Rakes as well
as playing support for LCD Soundsystem, Soulwax, MIA, Erol Alkan, 2manydjs, The Glimmers,
played at Glastonbury, Exit(Serbia), Leeds & Reading, Bestival, TDK & Bugged Out

With forthcoming remixes, productions and mix cds on the way this is probably the last
time we'll see them at this low a ticket price but hopefully this will be first of many visits.

Support comes from Dublin's Shock DJs who are also playing with Fujiya & Miyagi and
A Certain Ratio in February and March respectively.
