My radio tuner (seperates) has recently started acting up.
It seems to momentarily lose connection, return to standby mode, wiping all the stored stations from memory.

Is this likely the fault of the tuner, the amp or the sockets (too many plugs)?
When I leave the whole lot unplugged for a day or so, it works fine for a few hours before acting up again. The Dad says it could have received an electrical jolt/ overload or something.

Don't want to spend cash on a new tuner if its something else.
Any ideas?

I had this with an amp once. Figured it was just cos it was overheating from being on all day every day so i left it unplugged for a week and haven't had the problem since. Technical i know but it still works fine.

I might try that, cheers.

In fairness, I probably shouldn't be using one 5 pin adopter for the amp, cd, tuner, tv, dvd and mini disc re charger.....!

And watching tv/ listening to the radio at same time doesn't help.
