I was watching some TV programme about new metal, sorry nu metal. This guy came out to this studio to drum to some song, said he was from this band Suffocation. He was fucking amazing drummer. I tried searching for info on this band on the net but just got links to horrible porn asphyxiation sites, nasty. Are they any use or just new metal shite?

They're going years, i wouldn't have called them nu metal, uless they've changed.
i used to have their album Effigy Of The Forgotten and from what i remember it was fairly good in a metal kind of way.

heavy grind/deathmetal. their on relapse now, should be mp3's there. played here around year ago, due back in summer appearantly. highly recomended.

That drummer is amazing, he is in the new Roadrunner United cd and also on the DVD that comes with it which documents the making of the album. There is a clip of him blasting away and after that Joey Jordison from Slipknot comes on and he looks so crap compared to the Suffocation fella....

That sounds like the very thing i was watching. The bloke from Trivium spent about 10 minutes bigging up the guitarist from his own band.
