Tascam DA-20 DAT Machine
The faceplate is a bit scratched but works perfectly.

Roland Juno 106
Classic digitally controlled analogue synth.
Suffers from the usual problems associated with this synth i.e. the polyphony has gone - it needs a couple of new chips which can be found on the web - hence the really low price.
Either buy it and fix it or if you own one already buy it and use it for parts.

Yamaha DX-27
Baby brother of the DX7 - 4 operator FM synth.
Condition not great - all the buttons need to be cleaned but otherwise works fine.

Rack mount stripped down D-50. Weird little digital box this.
Some great sounds. Used to use it almost exclusively for strings.

Nice little desktop analogue modelling synth. Multiple outputs.
Capable of generating some really weird sounds as well as great bass and big strings.

E-Bay seem to have cards for around 50-60 quid a piece... I think... I'm not even sure if I'm looking at the right thing... with each card that goes (as I understand) you lose one key (voice) of polyphony

I'm really not sure I understand the wholething... where do the strings go?

There's a guy on ebay who offers chips for $25 each every few months.
He buys broken junos and salvages the parts.

Average second hand price for the juno is $400-450

funny this post should crop up cos ive got a 106 and just this week the keys started goin..
didnt realise this happened.

I'd fix it and keep it myself but I've used it to death, even with the voices gone.
