@ EAMON DORANS TEMPLE BAR.
SAT JULY 26th
DOORS:8.00PM ADM €12
First band onstage @ 8.15PM SHARP

THE SABREJETS: The Sabrejets roots can be traced to the mid-to-late 80's where vocalist, guitarist & frontman Brian Young could be found with a band that he had formed THE TIGERSHARKS. With his influences including T-REX, The Cramps, Panther Burns and Johnny Thunders, Brian had decided to form the band after having a couple of years rest from the music business. He had previously been in RUDI - Belfast's first ever punk band who had enjoyed some fairly successful releases and supported The Jam on a UK tour. The TIGERSHARKS appeared on a few compilations before folding. Brian's next project was THE ROUGHNECKS appeared on the "Songs The cramps Taught Us" compilation on the German label Jungle Noise. Around the time of the lead guitarist Geordie Beavis' departure, Brian found himself becoming a little dissatisfied. He was looking for something with a much rougher sound and evenually after a few more line up changes THE SABREJETS were formed.... http://www.myspace.com/thesabrejets

THE MOSQUITOES: The Mosquitoes are a hard-edged Dublin trio. Combining an impressive wide range of influences from rockabilly, surf & garage punk. The Mosquitoes have added a new female vocalist named Niamh which has expanded their sound to a new level. http://www.themosquitoes.com/

MONGOHORN: Insane Punk retards. "We're not the Messiahs. We're very dirty boys"

Legendary Dublin Psychobilly trio "The WANKTONES" have now been added to the July 26th line up.

Originally formed in Dublin in ’87 “The Wanktones” feature ex members of THE BONESHAKERS plus guitar slinger Doyley & Mocker from THE KLINGONZ. They haven’t played Dublin in years so catch ‘em when you can.

First band onstage @ 8.15pm

Just after checking Mongohorn out on their myspace site, and holy fuck they're deadly, best Irish band I've heard in ages. Have they been around long?

Been knockin' around a couple of years. Used to just play covers but now have there own material plus a new drummer. This will be the first time i catch them myself since the change of personel. Should be a good night with something for everyones tastes.

looks good. would be interested to see how the mosquitos sound with a new singer

This gig is gonna kick off early so if you wanna catch the first band they'll be onstage by 8.30pm at the latest.

Was a brilliant night. The Mosquitoes were deadly, - their new lead singer Niamh was outstanding, and kinda foxy too
Great stuff all round

Completely agree, since the addition of Niamh to the The Mosquitoes the band are alot more easier on the eye now. Her voice at times reminded me of Blondie.
