With the Grand Social gearing up for their 3rd Birthday, what better way to follow on and continue the fun with one of the most solid line ups ever assembled for New Natives!

Dublin melody makers Ana Gog will be with us on Oct 9th off the back of their great performance at Electric Picnic 2013.

Doors are 8PM and as always its absolutely FREE!!!

BIO - A tight-knit group with a fluid playing style, Ana Gog have grown together through formative school and college years and emerge as one of Ireland's most unique bands. Led by multi-instrumentalist and main songwriter Michael Gallen, their distinctive sound is one forged over countless performances together where eclectic influences have been distilled into a captivating whole.

Combining nuanced songwriting with ornate instrumentation, Ana Gog create evocative and melodic music built upon a complex palate of sounds. Delicate grace notes elicited from piano keys are contrasted with the surge and bark of robust rhythmic arrangements - dynamics that turn each of their songs into mini epics.

The group's influences are varied, something which reflects both their diverse musical backgrounds and the openness of their creative approach. In their music one could invoke the harmonic sensibilities of Kate Bush, the instrumental abandon of groups like Steely Dan and Queen, the delicate textures and atmospheric soundscapes of Radiohead, Cocteau Twins, Björk; but none of these references fully capture what is special to Ana Gog. They are one of those rare groups that can claim to have a sound all to themselves.

Make no mistake - this is timeless, potent music, and debut album Making Trails is a bold statement by a sure-voiced group of musicians who are here for the long run.

Also gracing the stage are Womens Murder Club - Womens Murder Club are a 5 man strong musical collective from Dublin City. Their goal is not fame nor money, they have no interest in superficial things like top ten hits or traditional thinking. They simply wish to develop a sound that is their own. A sound that is contemporary yet classical.A sound that can accurately articulate yet transcend the gamut of emotions and experience that five twenty year olds share in this world.

WMC are currently working on their second record which is due to be released in mid 2013.

Joining them on the 9th are Slackers' Symphony having recently played venues like Sweeneys and The Workmans- http://breakingtunes.com/slackerssymphony
