Sabrepulse
Sabrepulse is a 22 year-old Yorkshire born who produces electronic music using mainly Gameboys and Laptops and has done so for about 5 years now and is based in Aberdeen, Scotland while at university. All of his records are available to download from the links to his MySpace page. The annual Chiptune Alliance Tour which he organises himself is aimed to promoting the unique genre of music across the UK.
From an early age heavily influenced by the sights and sounds of the 8/16bit videogame era, he came to start sequencing music in late 2001 after deciding to rewrite the soundtracks to seminal Amiga 500 classics. Fast forward half a decade and a mix of styles have emerged; primarily centering his efforts on a genre recently coined ‘chipbreak’ - sounding somewhat like a fusion between chip/jungle/breakcore/dnb and hardcore - Sabrepulse has also dipped his toe into crumply, glitchy idm and breakbeat. He played live regularly across the UK, and is part of several DIY/netlabels in the UK, US and Japan.
For a once-off Irish performance, Sabrepulse will appear live at the Greystones Theatre on Saturday 10th January 2009 @ 9:00pm
Directions to the Greystones Theatre:
To access the theatre from Greystones, drive or walk into the Meridian Centre carpark off Greystones main street, Church Road, Greystones, Co Wicklow. The Theatre entrance is around the corner on this level from the Eco Shop which is opposite the entrance to the Meridian Carpark.
It is a one minute walk from the DART station and 84 bus stop.
