We, at Soul Food, are happy to say that Roberto Mello will be our special guest DJ this Thursday evening at Bia Bar. Roberto has always been one of our fav DJs, a pioneer of quality soulful music who still, even after all these years, has a huge appetite for playing music to audiences all over the world.... And of course, Roberto is a legend in Dublin clubs. He has rocked practically every club worth talking about in the capital in the last 10years...from the Temple of Sound, Kitchen, Columbia Mills, POD, Isaac Butt, Funnel.....the list goes on. So we delighted to bring him over once again to Dublin to play at Soul Food....also DJ'ing on the night is Billy Scurry, Anthony Mooney, and Razor.

This Thursday Evening (28th July) at Bia Bar, St. Stephens Street.
Free in all night!
Music starts at 7.30 and goes til 1.30am

Roberto Mello - Biog

London based DJ and Producer Rob Mello has recorded, produced, and remixed a plethora of House records since 1992 under various guises. One of these illustrious guises was the pioneering disco house duo Disco Elements, previously signed to Azuli Records. Rob was also co-founder of the saucy house label Luxury Service and produced the first Black Science Orchestra single with Ashley Beadle, “Where were you”, released on the legendary London house label, Boys Own.

Rob has also made the move into film score work. In 1999 Rob, with Matthew Herbert, was responsible for writing all the incidental music on the UK club culture movie, ‘Human Traffic’. Rob was also responsible for compiling a Japanese only version of the soundtrack, “A Tribute To Human Traffic”.

DJ wise, Rob has been DJing since 1985 and has pioneered his own inimitable style that is much in demand in clubs all over the world. With various regular appearances and residences over the years which include Plastic People, Space (Bar Rhumba), The End, The Rex, Herbal, and throughout Italy, France, USA, Ireland, Australia, S.Africa, Eastern Europe, Asia and many many more! Far too many to mention!
