R.S.A.G. ANNOUNCES IRISH TOUR 2009
R.S.A.G. is delighted to announce the highly anticipated RSAG Irish Tour 2009. Nationwide dates are listed below.
R.S.A.G.is Jeremy Hickey. He is a multi-instrumentalist who records, performs and produces all his own material. Live on stage, R.S.A.G. plays drums / percussion and sings. His backing tracks are pre-recorded in studio and are his support.
RSAG shares his stage with a virtual band which is projected on a screen behind him. Hickey is also every member.Think of Joy Division, Talking Heads, Fela Kuti, New York rockers ESG with the visual impact of Gorillaz. But rather than the use of animation, he aspires to a sort of shadowplay; a show of silhouettes of himself, which he utilises on disc. This is so much more than just music, it is a friendly, full-sensory virus with no known cure.
RSAG released his debut double album "ORGANIC SAMPLER" in November 2008. Irish music lovers rejoiced and the media tipped their collective hat to this mesmerizing and totally unique artist. So much so, that RSAG has been shortlisted for the Choice Music Prize Album of the year 2008.
Prior to the release of ORGANIC SAMPLER, only festival shakers and underground movers were aware of RSAG. He headlined The Electric Picnic's Body & Soul arena 2008 and Castlepalooza 08. Since Organic Sampler's release, RSAG has recorded live sessions on RTE's 'Other Voices', has supported The Fall in The Spiegeltent and is currently the subject of an RTE documentary "The Raw Sessions".
2009 is the year of RSAG.
