Wandered into Smyths yesterday and for €30 (€27 if u have a loyalty card)
Sega Mega Drive Collection featuring 27 games was on the shelf.
I grew up with the MD and some classics here and unlike other collections from other companies the loading time on this one is decent enough.
Good selection of diff genres too
games include
Sonic I and II
Ecco the Dolphin i,II and III (never knew there was a III tbh)
Columns
Alex Kidd
Bonanza brothers
Golden Axe series
Comix Zone (way ahead of it's time)
Virtua Fighter II
Ristar
Phantasy Star II,III and IV
Vectorman
Altered beast

Disappointed no streets of fire though :(

Streets of Rage? I have 1 and 2 *where's that smug emoticon I keep needing* That's a hillarious game. You get to smack broken bottles offa punks!

I'm getting really into my Megadrive again since I didn't buy a Wii that time. One really fantastic game and general blast from the past is Alisia Dragoon. I can't seem to finish it though. These old games with no save feature on them seem to require a different kind of patience that I don't seem to have anymore. I keep missing my top buttons a la ps2 for looking around. All told, Megadrive is class

They have added save features on this PSP version though Fiona :)
and to Thriller I like having my psp with the latest update....2.81

And I don't have to worry about disc space and also some of these games have extra features/polish/ability to save unlike the originals....also 27 euro for 27 games ////
