To upgrade or not to upgrade...

Running v7.1.4

Should I bother forking out the 50 bats for the upgrade?

"If you use ReWire applications (such as Reason), Pro Tools 7.4 software accepts MIDI controller data directly from ReWire applications for recording to a Pro Tools MIDI or Instrument track."

I can do that anyway right?

There's some good stuff in 7.3, but I think it's more in the mixy end of things.

What I usually do is wait until an upgrade comes out with something I definitely want, then throw down the cash.

I've yet to install Loepard, and I'm reluctant to do so right now.

I hate these times of flux

Everything was grand till a week ago

...and now back to my non leopard related question:

"If you use ReWire applications (such as Reason), Pro Tools 7.4 software accepts MIDI controller data directly from ReWire applications for recording to a Pro Tools MIDI or Instrument track."

Hello,

I upgraded to 7.4 beacause I have Vista Ultimate and couldnt use any other version of PTLE. I have an Mbox 2 Pro.

I still can't get it to work. Whenever I load PT it says to connect the Mbox but when I do, it doesn't recognise that its there and keeps asking me to connect it. I'm using firewire (big) on Mbox to firewire (small) on my HP laptop.

Also sometimes I get DAE error -6006 but can't find info on this anywhere.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Any suggestions?

I think you can export MIDI tracks from Reason, and then just drag them into an instrument track in Protools. So in a roundabout way, yes.
