This is probably a retarded question, but how and ever...

I have a few freeware plug-ins that I got as .dll files. Back in my PC days, I'd just throw these in the appropriate folder and Cubase would recognise them.

I'm now using Pro-tools on a Macbook. Is there anywhere I can put these dll files to make them work in Protools?

Or is there any other way to make these dll plug-ins work on the Mac? Can they be wrapped?

You should have taught about that before you turned your back on Bill Gates

Think you have to use an adapter like the below, I'm not a Mac user though.Ive also never bought magic beans instead of a cow!

Well I'm still in bed with Bill, as its an intel-Macbook, but I rarely use Windows on it...too much of a pain rebooting, just to use a specific plug-in.

I have the fxpansion wrapper, but its not always successful...so maybe I need to copy the dll files to a specific folder beforehand.

heres a vid of a billy idol look-a-like talking about that yoke so maybe its worth a look
