ok heres the ska-i have a boss br8 home recording thing
i have recorded shit on it-it takes zip disks-
i have transferred them to my computer and converted them to wav files (thats all you can convert them to)
each wav file corresponds to an instrument

i have the .wav tracks on computer (from digtial 8-track recorder) and i want to combine them to make a song...and then copy to cd

where can i get the software to layer these wav tracks on top of each other????

ps. if you know of an mp3 combiner(is that the word?) that would also work-cos id say it would be handy enough to convbert wav to mp3

thank you

dies irae

the one i know of is called magix music maker.it allows you to place waves in a multi-track session and save them.I'm not sure if it saves the whole session as .wav though.

cool edit is another one but it definitely does not save as a .wav.(i think)

there is a thread set up for queries like this,it's called home-recording.

Hi,

You can get any sequencing software (Cakewalk, Cubase, etc. you might find some free sharewares on the net), import the Wav files in separate tracks and set the levels, that's it. Then you can use Wavelab to record it into a unique Wav file (you should have it, usually any soundblaster comes with it)

If you've already mixed the tracks (so that each Wav file has already the level you want) you can simply overlap them with Wavelab.

Good luck! A.
