IPSC Concert with Andy Irvine, Herm, Kíla, etc.
November 9th is the anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall. It is also the International Day of Action against the Apartheid Wall being built by Israel on Palestinian territory, in defiance of the World Court and the UN General Assembly.
The Ireland Palestine Solidarity Campaign (IPSC) is marking Tuesday November 9th with a concert in the Sugar Club, Leeson St, Dublin.
The gig, which starts at 7.30 PM sharp, features up-and-coming rock group Herm, US political singer-songwriter David Rovics, Irish-Egyptian sean nós singer Róisín Elsafty, Andy Irvine, and two members of Kíla.
Musical items will be interspersed with brief statements from Palestinian and Israeli activists, anti-war activist Mary Kelly, and representatives of Amnesty and the IPSC.
Tickets are on sale at the door, at the IPSC stall at the top of Grafton St on Saturday November 6th (12 - 4PM), and all next week (Palestine week) in the Arts Building TCD. Or contact 087 795 5013.
