The Monday Club
Winners of The King Kong Club Grand Prize 2006
* The Monday Club launch their prize - a 4 track EP - with a special
show in the Sugar Club, Wednesday March 28th, 8pm. Support is from
competition runners up, Dirty Epics.*
Running from March to December of last year The King Kong Club 2006
was won by The Monday Club, four young lads who rocked their way to
the crown with a thrilling mixture of great songs and outrageous
showmanship. Lead guitarist Michael Fortune stole the show when he
jumped from the Pravda stage onto the bar and soloed his way into King
Kong Club folklore while the band thumped out the kind of rhymes and
rhythms that had the venue hopping. Wednesday March 28th 2007 sees the
fruits of their prize as they unveil their debut EP 'Shilouette In The
City Lights' a cracking mix of melodic rock, tender lyrics and great
musicianship for such a young act. Formed in January 2006 the bands
ethos is one of 100% commitment to their craft so please join us on
Weds 28th to check out a young band giving it their all.
