Daddy Long Legs, the aforementioned wailer, is joined by slide-guitar driving Murat Aktürk (born in Ankara, Turkey) and legendary NYC trap master Josh Styles, who attacks his kit with a whip and a maraca, although not necessarily in that order. The trio has taken the music scene by storm, with alarms sounding throughout the East Coast and reverberating across the globe, as they cut through the mediocrity, directly into the meat of real music—from the hip and to the heart. DADDY LONG LEGS has taken to stages with the likes of the Sonics, the Flamin’ Groovies, the Hoodoo Gurus, Lenny Kaye, The Legendary Stardust Cowboy, Question Mark And The Mysterians and The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion.
They have burned down barrelhouse backrooms, afterhours nightspots, and legendary locations like the famed Friars Club, NYC. Their rapid rise in popularity is based in their total lack of pretense-- all three young men are seriously dredged in deep blues baconfat, seasoned, seared, scored and tempered...and baptized in hotwired wine and brine.
The Urges starting out in Dublin as a raw & primitive garage band, and it didn’t take long for their racket to catch the local’s attention. After releasing their first single “(Around &) Around” in 2007 the ears of international promoters began listening. They have since toured extensively throughout Europe, the U.S. & beyond. They have progressed & learnt from the basics of garage music and in the process absorbed new influences to expand their sound. They have moved out of the garage, thanked those who have opened their ears from The Seeds to The Chocolate Watch Band, and set out on their new journey.
Slim Jim & The Bone Breakers are a rockabilly/garage outfit taking influence from the likes of The Cramps, Flat Duo Jets and The Gun Club. Led by Slim Jim, they’ve honed their rough ‘n’ ready scumbag-rockabilly, garage punk blues sound in dive bars throughout Dublin.
