True Panther Sounds recording artist Tobias Jesso Jr. has announced his debut LP, ‘Goon,’ out March 13th and available for pre-order now via iTunes. Pre-order from the True Panther store and receive a limited edition new demo pressed onto a 7'' flexi disc.
'Goon' was recorded over the last two years and features production from Chet “JR” White (formerly of Girls), Black Keys’ Patrick Carney, and Ariel Rechtshaid (Vampire Weekend, Haim, Sky Ferreira). ‘Goon’ album art is above.
Pitchfork gave album highlight “Hollywood” Best New Track, calling it “the film negative to Billy Joel’s ‘New York State of Mind’.” Last night Adele tweeted up his new video for "How Could You Babe" saying she thought he was fantastic! Watch. This. Space.
In March, Tobias will launch his first ever tour, headlining a run of East and West Coast North American dates. On January 2nd and 3rd, he opens for Foxygen at LA’s Roxy Theatre. Tobias recently hosted a series of intimate solo piano performances in London, NYC and LA, and was met with tremendous praise. After hearing “Without You,” The Fader was brought to tears: “A tremendous wave of pain and nostalgia came over me, and I started to cry.” His first Irish date in Dublin's Unitarian Church in May has just been announced
