LuaLua and Ameobi set to replace suspended duo

Lomano Tresor LuaLua and Shola Ameobi are set to be given the responsibility of spearheading Newcastle's Champions League campaign in Barcelona.

The inexperienced duo are likely to be paired in attack by manager Sir Bobby Robson because first-choice duo Alan Shearer and Craig Bellamy are both suspended.

Bellamy was sent off in the 4-1 home defeat to Inter Milan while Shearer was subsequently banned by UEFA for elbowing Fabio Cannavaro.

Midfielder Kieron Dyer, youngster Michael Chopra and the injury-prone Carl Cort provide Robson with other options in attack.

Wales skipper Gary Speed returns from a domestic ban and could lead the Magpies in Shearer's absence.

Defender Titus Bramble is also fit again after a hamstring problem.

But there is no place in the squad for Hugo Viana, who dislocated his shoulder in a training ground accident last week.

Squad: Given, Harper, Karelse, Griffin, Hughes, Bernard, Dabizas, O'Brien, S. Caldwell, Bramble, Speed, Robert, Dyer, Solano, Jenas, Acuna, McClen, Kerr, Ameobi, LuaLua, Chopra, Cort.

Newcastle will win. By three goals to one goal. And Liverpool will win the Champions League.

did you see the Real Madrid game yesterday...pure class.
but i can still see Real at the end of the season scratching their heads, wondering why they won no silverware this year.

maybe that will leave the door open for Spurs to sign Ronaldo.

Newcastle have a pretty good chance toniight I think. The torrential rains will help them a lot more than Barca and morale in their camp is apparently very low. There were reports that the club have prepared a statement announcing Van Gaal`s sacking if they lose.

Look, you were lucky just to get this far.
Just smile gormlessly and accept the pats on the head, would you?
