Hi,
The Lower Deck is located on Portobello Harbour around the corner from Portobello Bridge and Portobello College. It is a live music venue under new entertainment management catering for a more progressive audience and still tying in with its roots. It is hosting a variety of nights such as the long running "Ballroom of romance" whish offers a health dose of alternative indie rock and electronic mish mash. It also has recently hosted the launch of a new underground hip hop club called "Oh Snap!" and has many more nights to follow regular and once off's gigs with a mix of international and national acts.
Below are the live music event listings for the week starting this Monday Jan 8th and finishing on the 13th of January. Check out www.myspace.com/lowerdeckdublin for more. Do not hesitate to contact me for more details on [email protected].
Thanks
Barry

This is their first tour outside of the Netherlands. Local support comes from Roosky who have ex-members of Irish punk legends Stomach and Pincher Martin, and their sound doesn't deviate too far from the reaches of their former bands; loud, gruff, solid and tuneful punk. Boneyard Witch has members from Oak, Tremors, The Coffin, Stolen Pony, etc, playing dirty, punked up rock'n'roll similar to Flipper, Dead Moon and the Cramps; this is a real power trio. Putrefaction are a crusty punked up attack featuring members of Easpa Measa, Complan, De Novissimis and the first band on the night is Septic Pussy young drunken punks from the northside playing GG Allen and Black Flag songs.
