Legowelt(Bunker/Strangelife-Netherlands)
Friday 16th of November

Legowelt began producing music when in the early 90ies the adolescent schoolboy came in sporadic contact with the sounds of Detroit's Underground Resistance, Model 500, Blake Baxter (probably his all-time favorite producer) and Chicago heroes such as Farley Jackmaster Funk, Armando Gallop and mr.Fingers. Later on this palette of influences grew with early Mu-Ziq, Aphex Twin, Drexciya, various stuff from The Irdial Discs label and virtually every type of freaked deep music he could get his hands on.

But nothing had quite the influence of when, somewhere in the early 90ies, he first heard a band called 'Unit Moebius' on the radio. A punky palette of RAW freaked out Lo-fi chicago trax and deep detroit jams made with machines which were found next to the garbage can. Shocked in awe he heard that this music came out of The Hague, Holland The very same city he lived in! Put on the right track by this fact he stumbled into the Bunker Records office and discoverd a world of contemporary autistic freaked music lovers who looked beyond all the bland house and dance music that ruled the media and clubs. Musical mentors such as IF and Melvin White (aka pametex) lectured him with even more unknown sounds such as early electro and the obscure pre-1983 Italian disco which production secrets were closely studied. In 1998 Bunker released the first vinyl of Legowelt : Pimpshifter, a 6 track mingled Italo Chicago combi which became an instant cult hit with tracks such as 'Stumvogel' and 'Total Pussy Control'. He also released a full album on Goldcoast in 1998 called Reports from the Backstreet Pimp. By the end of 2002, he racked up over half a dozen compilation appearances, the most prominent of which was "Disco Rout" on Ghostly International's Tangent 2002: Disco Nouveau. Wolfers has collaborated with Orgue Electronique for a trio of releases that appeared on Bunker and Kapellmeister and he has done several remixes for the likes of I-F, Speedy J, and V.U.L.V.A. Bonobo(Dj Set-Ninjatune-Uk)
Friday 30th November - 12euro/10euro students

Bonobo's DJ style refuses to conform to the preconceived ideas of a laid back style, and aiming headlong for the dancefloor, with a heavy mixture of hip hop, weighty jazz, broken beats, Latin, funk, and soul, with the occasional cheeky bit of psyche rock and drum and bass thrown in. Just to keep you on yer toes right? Now a DJ of international repute, Bonobo has played all over the world, including playing to huge audiences in the USA and Canada with Amon Tobin, a progress culminating in Ninja Tune asking him to put together a Solid Steel mix album. Bugger the lounge, lets dance.

Support from Kevin Blake(Electric Underground-Live)

Kevin Blake has been making his own music since a very young age. Multi-tracking started from having two generic tape recorders in his sitting room, recording one line onto one, playing it back and recording the second line onto the other. At the age of 15 he along with three friends formed the band Kaderfire. They toured around Ireland for three years playing their own brand of instrumental post-rock and recorded two EPs to great appreciation. For the past year, Kevin has focused on producing electronic music, attracted by its limitless sonic possibilities and control over all aspects. Groundbreaking artists such as Pierre Henry and Richard D. James inspired him to mold his own take on this music, approaching it from a rock and classical perspective. Live shows can include Kevin using his laptop, synth, guitar, bass, drums/percussion, xylophone, and various pedals and effects. To date he has played with such acts as Tinoras, Foreign Bodies, Jezery, Mojo Fury, Le Bien, Mark O'Connor, Giveamanakick, 65 Days Of Static and Max Tundra and Marco Bernardi/Octogen.

Neil Landstrumm
Friday 14th of December - 10euro

A stalwart of the UK electronic music scene since 1994 Neil Landstrumm has released work on many of the most recognised labels in the industry. Starting with Peacefrog, shifting gears to Berlins’ Tresor Records he then upped the bass-game onto arguably the UKs’ most important electronic label of the moment, Planet Mu. Neil Landstrumm is an artist who always seems to be at the spearhead of experimental, dancehall low frequency electronics. After a lengthy sabbatical in New York, the native Scot is now settled back in Edinburgh where he continues to make music and operate his label project, Scandinavia .Neil has toured relentlessly worldwide, supporting each years releases with uncompromising live shows using a plethora of sound hardware. Never an artist to rest on his laurels and churn out the same old, he has built a career on being unpredictable and open to new perspectives from which to hone his sound. A pioneer of new styles within techno, often copied and imitated Landstrumm has a strong pedigree within the scene. Unaligned to any one genre, upfront and heavy, he makes music for all-comers to the rave . Landstrumm steers his way through 2007 with refreshing abandon and a new LP due late Spring on Planet Mu records called “Restaurant of Assassins” With the heaviest subs this side of Chapeltown, Landstrumm seeks new lows with “Restaurant of Assasins” bringing together classic UK techno vibes and modern dubstep with a refreshed rave sensibility. Neil hijacks dubstep structure and its “on-the-three’s” approach but adapts it to his signature sound so identifiable from the decades previous productions. Undeniably proud of the UK’s heritage in electronic music and clearly passionate about the influences in his musical ouput, Landstrumm has a talent for bringing it all together in unusual and creative packages. Chasing the Great Northern Raves from the Happy Mondays and Yorkshire Bass N Bleep scene, to contemporary dubstep you can follow Landstrumms’ vision of the ravestep sound in 2007 with “Restaurant of Assassins”. An unsettling cartel of badman and plain wrong-uns….. It's live hardware electronics at it's very best.
