LAZYBIRD
Sunday, 9pm 'til closing
International Bar (upstairs), Wicklow Street, Dublin 2
______________________________________________________

Dear Lazoidz,

This Sunday, we'll be finishing off the long Paddy's Weekend with
performances from Ewa Gigon and Dr Polly Fibre. Read on...

EWA GIGON

Ewa, originally from Poland but now based here in Ireland, played with us
once before at the very end of 2004, and we're glad to have her back. "A
little like Grace Jones, a little like Laurie Anderson" was how we
described her then. She'll be singing some dark Faery Tales using her

voice, a loopstation and a sampler.

DR POLLY FIBRE

Christine Ellison, AKA Dr Polly Fibre, performs her piece "Craftwork". She
describes it as "a cacophony of sonic and physical patterns, using sewing

machines and other tailoring tools to explore the intimate relationship

between sound and surface. As much playful as it is sinister,'Craftwork'

confronts the human aesthetics of 'making' that disrupt binary systems."

So if you've got any ripped socks you need darned before heading back to
work on Monday, Lazybird might just be the right place to go. As usual,
only a fiver in.

Hope to see you there,
~lazybird~

Does that actually mean anything? Serious question ....

This was a very cool night. Really great crowd, and fine music from both Dr Polly Fibre and Ewa Gigon. Thanks a million to both of them, and to everyone who came down to this.
