Manta lp launch night .
Featuring special guest Lackluster direct from Helsinki,Finland.This
will be Lackluster's third visit to Ireland.Both events were sold
out and we believe this gig will be no different.Lackluster has got
considerable play on irish radio<notably Donal Dineens today fm
show "Here comes the night">.His sound has crossed over to all
musical audiences.a mean feat for a solo electronic artist.

Lackluster biography
=======
Describing the sound of Esa Ruoho's music is a task full of
adjectives, but it never comes to mind to call any of it Lackluster -
the name, that this talented, young Finnish electronic music artist
has chosen for himself. Lackluster's music is full of texture and
organic quality that many electronic artists seem to have lost in
the pre-millenium tension urge to slice and divide sound.

Lackluster's first real album and recording contract was conceived
through Clair Poulton's DeFocus-label. Container received excellent
feedback, both from the press and the electronic music aficionados.
Container was followed by Wrapping, the last album for Lackluster on
DeFocus. Both albums were still more or less compilations of slightly
older material.
Currently Lackluster is promoting his new album, Showcase, which is
another step forward in his career. Coming out on US-based label,
Merck, Showcase delivers yet another delicate compilation of
Lackluster's trademark sound combined with a slightly tighter and
harder production. In addition to the new album, Esa Ruoho is doing
remixes for various labels and artists, composing music for a modern
dance piece as well as throwing gigs all around the globe.

Other artists performing on the night include live sets from Lucky
and Easy (A.K.A Pub), U-Fear- I, Manta and Matthew Devereux,all of
whom play the more traditional sound of Psychonavigation Records,
the best in down-tempo ambient/ electronica and abstract beats.


Manta:manta is dublin producer gavin o'brien.Gavin has been playing
countless gigs around the capital over the last year.After recently
rocking the sin bar for Matt Devereuxs launch night Gavin will be
performing tracks from the new Psychonavigation release.

Lucky and easy aka: Pub hails from Glasgow,Scotland.He owns and
records for the Ampoule record label.He is one of the hottest
properties on the ambient/electronic scene at the moment.Recent
collaborations with such artists as Arovane and Juan atkins further
strengthen his position in the scene.He has just completed an album
for the excellent Delsin Offshoot "Ann Aimee"label.

U-Fear-I record for the isolated record label.They released the lp
called "killing time" last year on isolated.The lads are busy
recording their new lp for the Psychonavigation label due out in
feburary 2004.Their last performance was at the Simulus launch
night.We eagerly await their new material and another eclectic set
in the hub.

Matthew devereux is best know as the lead singer of Dublin rock
band "The Pale".The Pale have been on the scene for the past 12
years and have recently released a new Lp on
Psychonavigation.Matthew Devereux has gone the solo route and has
recently produced a beautiful Lp of Ambient/Breakbeat music for
Psychonavigation records.

Deriweriw are two brothers from co.galway who's first demo sounded
like early black dog!thats good enough for us.they have released one
record to date<nis sif on deaf 02 comp>.debut lp forthcoming on
psychonavigation records.
