Following several killer shows starring the likes of Veronica Vasicka, Helena Hauff and Mick Wills, Wave Forza sails back into town with the most insane live act we have ever featured in the hallowed halls of Odessa. Rocking it this evening will be ze crazy 4-piece international phuture group, DUST who kommt hard und schnell just how we like it with elements of analogue techno, future acid, and art-house digital noise paralleled with hyper-processed vocals and raw erotic chaotic energy. Fantastisch!
The group specializes in intense, flashy and immersive sets combining the inputs of Seoul-Native and Noise/Visual artist Greem Jellyfish, Berlin-based Psych vocalist Angela Chambers, and Brooklyn-based producers John Barclay and Michael Sherburn. Check the videos below from the incendiary live shows from ze killer underground Brooklyn Bushwick underground art, music and slacker clubs like illegal den of musical iniquity 285 Kent (run in part by Barclay and ultimately shut down by the vice squad - a man after unseren own hearts), Trip House und Bossa Nova Civic Club.
Und musik, das Musik - DUST has released two on Berlin’s Mannequin label - the awesome ‘Onset of a Decimation’ & recently released ‘Feel It’ EPs and the ‘Past Future’ EP on Lowlife Inc which has the killer cover of Phuture’s acid anti-coke anthem ‘Your Only Friend’. Whether live or on wax, DUST rock it hard and they are going to own the Odessa dancefloor this summer night.
Completing the bill on this nacht of debauched decadance we willkommen der meister Mannequin Records boss, Roman und current Berlin native, Alessandro Adriani. With a label responsible for some of the heißesten electro / synth / wave releases auf der szene von Tropic of Cancer, Information Society, Led er Est, Intelligence Dept, Octavius and many more. Not only is Alessandro a killer DJ, his productions under the name Newclear Waves are some of the sharpest, wave-influenced records to have graced the Wave Forza plattenspieler. Blending droned out acid, techno and wave, he has a keen ear for the darker side of the Italo and wave aesthetic, he is sure to further fire the Forza floor into pit of wanton abandon. Nnnnggggh Guuuuuut!
Opening up proceedings while taking a break from documenting the Parnell St. pavement from the lofty environs of his penthouse, Wave Forza’s Simon Conway will let the synth and wave tracks slowly seep into the evening air.
