I prefer his early stuff. Demon Killer is the one I really associate with him.

This is a very obvious and late comment, but the movie with Lena Headey there
I copped on a second watch that the reason they picked this slomo drug as a plot device was that it allowed for way more comic book art type shots
They really wanted to make a movie in a way that comics can look

Yeah, I remember the director saying that the slomo scenes were a way to depict the action and the violence in a way that was graphic and beautiful, like slow motion footage from nature documentaries showing a shark ripping into a seal (I believe that was the example).

Perfect movie.

I’ll get to it when the complete case files collections get to that point. I have up to Volume 31 which covers it up to Progs 1185 so I think it’s about halfway there to the current prog (i.e. the latest issue should be in volume 62).
