I'm looking for something concerning Punk, Anarchy and Masculinism. It's something of a forgotten subject and one I feel needs addressing.

can't help you there, but deko might be able to give you a few pointers

Tintin was never funny.

it wasn't meant to be funny, it was mystery-drama in a graphic format. i'm sick of all this anti-tintinism, it's just another trend with you people.

I thought it was good.

word up. i think i own just about every tintin comic book... and a few movies in french, too. snowy was the best though... did anyone ever read the book about tintin in the modern world? it was about him all grown up, drinking and fraternising with women and such... pretty crappy, just like i'm sure the book from the distro is.

always preferred Asterix myself.
did you really think it was good? How? i really think its terrible, not even a single joke in it (except the wine bar that gets smashed up is called Rascals, which is funny)

Asterix

Asterix was great too. I used to love Asterix and Tintin books when I was a kid. Like when I was about 7 or something.
Of course, Asterix has the advantage of having a fat Gerard Depardieu playing Obelix in the films. Hes impressively fat.

smut

asterix is fuckin deadly..i read some filthy french 'adult comic books' a couple of years ago as well, i didn't know what they were talking about but you could figure it out from the pictures....filthy, i wish i could find some more.can't remember the name of them though

The best Asterix is the one where Thompson and Thomson appear for no reason (Asterix in Belgium i think)

.....and by "i think" i mean i have it at home.

i think the best tintins are 1) flight 714 where they get abducted by aliens and 2) the two part series when they go into space. thompson and thompson are classic in that one.
when i get home i'm definitely going to re-read those bad boys..
