Watched The Halo Effect on telly the other night.
Set in a Dublin chipper, staring Stephen Rea. Kind of depressing but not bad.

The music was dead nice and was by somebody/ something called Go Blimps Go. Anybody know who they are/ what their story is?

They had a deadly album called.... uh... god I can't remember... blue cover with a painting of a baloon on it and a classic song called Fizz Goes Up Your Nose... another earlier album (not as great) called Global Glo

MC Wuzza was a member, he DJ'd quite a bit after they vanished and was in The Last Days of Dublin too, good flick that, in a surreal road movie manner...

Anyhow, top band, but seemed to dissapear of the face of the earth

which is sad...

yeh I remember seeing these guys in Whelans years ago, Wuzza was wearing red pyjamas and a duvet cover with clouds on it as a cape and kept screaming mad stuff into a mic. Was quite good really.

atrocious soundtrack. all backwards reverb guitars with some bird singin over it....tychonaut-lite...the soundtrack detracted from the film bigtime as it seemed to be cut to fit the music...but it makes sense that the director would do that if its his own band soundtrackin it.....a self indulgent mess!
