Right, I haven't opened PT in a while but that shouldn't make any difference.

The drive where all my old sessions is kept has suddenly been called "Not a valid audio volume"

Its the drive I've been using all along and this is suddenly happening.

The solution online is to select workspace which I've done & change it from T to R but when I try that I get "blah blah cannot be designated as an Audio Record volume because its not a valid audio volume"

The solution online is to reformat the drive. People get this with NEW drives, this is the drive that I've ALWAYS used with PT.

This does not follow any sane logic.

Only thing I can think of thats different is when I opened PT earlier it asked for a PACE thing to be updated (for iLoc I assume) which I did, but I don't thin thats got to do with anything.

Please help y'all

Mac.

I may have updated the OS... Its been a while since I opened it...

Is the drive PC or Mac formatted?
I remember something similar happening after an OS update with NTFS formatted drives or something.

Anyway, you still have all the data, right?

Move everything to another drive, reformat then copy it back.

Pain in the arse, but no harm done.

Yeah, I've not touched anything & everything is fucked up. Even my I/O's on the mac itself are not working. Well the outs are, I can't get an input.

Fit for the fucking bin.

Still have the data - looks like I've a long night ahead. Cheers
