Moeller signals his retirement
BERLIN, Jan 8 - Former Germany midfielder Andreas Moeller will not renew his contract with Bundesliga side Schalke 04 and also signalled on Wednesday that he will retire at the end of the season.
'I'd like to play good football for another four months and then make a nice farewell,' said the 35-year-old, who won the 1996 European championship and 1990 World Cup with Germany.
Moeller, who gained the last of his 85 caps in 1999, won the Bundesliga title with Borussia Dortmund in 1995 and 1996 and was a key player in their Champions League success the following season. He also won the UEFA Cup with Juventus in 1993.
