We've been having some problems splitting a signal from a laptop. We split a stereo signal, sending the left channel with a click track to the drummer, and in the right channel some backing synths (while we look for a keyboard player) to the PA.
We've just been using a splitter cable but it's not doing the job properly. THere were leaks and now it just sends the smae thing down both channels.
Would the Ernie Ball Splitter Box or something like that do the trick? Is there anywhere around town that sells them?

Did you try using Audacity or Pro Tools and assigning the left channel to output 1, and the right channel to output 2?

No, I hadn't even considered that. That sounds very reliable,
but it entails using the MBox. No adapters or anything, it might do the trick.

The splitter box seems easier. Less fartin' 'round on the 'puter and more rockin'

Aye, I'm thinking the splitter box would be easier. I don't think our drummer would deal too well with the markers in ProTools.
I'll have to get or make a mini-jack to jack cable.
