pardon my colour blind crosseye-edness but what is the diffenence between these two knots? apart from the fact that they are opposite colours?

have i missed some in joke thing?
 
I just tie them like normal, then take the two loopy ends of the bows and tie them again, I was told this was called a 'Double Knot'

Wild Horses couldn't take my shoes off when I have them double knotted

This method is best used with those annoying round laces that will come out no matter what knots you tie.
