yeah, that was one of the toughest i've seen.

i gave up when clicking 4 across made 4 down and 2 down highlight yellow.

also crosswords traditionally highlight when there's more than one word in an answer.

yeah, that confused me, it suggested that the clue had two separate words in the answer.
