BLACK COUGAR SHOCK UNIT in Ireland? (1 Viewer)

Hi there,

we're bringing BLACK COUGAR SHOCK UNIT (Newest Industry) over for a second time in September / October of this year. Last year they toured with THE ENABLERS and were gutted there were no Irish dates so this time we're looking to definitely get over there. We are after :

October 5th - Wednesday - Belfast
October 6th - Thursday - Dublin
October 7th - Friday - Cork

Something like that. This will be part of a 7 week European tour, with 20 dates on mainland UK already booked.

The band consists of Alex Ulloa (ex-PANTHRO UK UNITED 13, ex-HOUSE ON FIRE - both Gainesville, Florida punk bands) as well as Jason Armadillo (the artist, who did a few of the LESS THAN JAKE album sleeves, as well as a lot of other art for No Idea Records), Peter Bowers (who was in THE HAM with Jason) and Mick Winters who was in a band called DRAGSTRIP SYNDICATE...

We (Newest Industry) are putting 2 new BLACK COUGAR SHOCK UNIT releases out in the next month or so (including a 15 track album) but MP3's from their debut EP, also on Newest Industry, can be found here :

We're not after a guarantee, and they're not rock stars. More like super DIY with the work ethic of BLACK FLAG. They just seriously want to get over to Ireland seeing as they'll be in the area!!

Galway sounds good. We currently don't have anything responded to or booked for Oct 5th (Weds) or Oct 7th (Fri)... I guess the Weds might work better as we really want to be south for the 7th to get the ferry back to Wales, but we can be flexible if it means a gig rather than no gig... if you want to email some details to dave AT thenewestindustry.com that would be great. We have had emails / help for Belfast and Dublin, so they're down as provisionally "ready to rock..." so we just need one more date now down South, so we can get to the Ferry right after / the next day... anyone? Any takers? McFly?
