albert speer: his battle with truth by gitta sereny.

the latter is one of the best books i have read.

it's also very short. Good for when you just want a quicky.
 
No joke, Slash's Autobiography was one of the best books i've read in the last few months. Its hilarious, the man really doesnt give a f**k about anything, brilliant!
 
Alan Greenspan's "the age of turbulence" is interesting to the extent that he sets out the arguments for capitalism in a thoughtful way rather than just coming across like a right-wing nut. His treatment of environmental issues is a bit weird though.
 
colin powell's (ghostwritten) autobiography is worth a read - doesn't cover the period where he worked for bush junior, though, which is a period i'd love to hear about from his point of view.
