No, I'm not taking the piss!
We are meeting every Sunday between 3 and 5 in Seomra Spraoi, 4 Mary's Abbey, on the luas tracks just off Capel St., opposite Gary Rhodes restaurant.
The first week we held a sort of a crazy chaotic meeting with kiddies flying all over the place and talked about possibilities... from simply getting together to skill/resource-sharing to an "anarchist sunday school" to a school of our own!
The next week was a subdued affair with painting and chats.
The next week was eh pretty much toddlers jumping around to the Ramones banging toy instruments day.
Next week we are possibly trying to talk about what works for us as parents when we want to respect our little ones as people but have them respect us as people to... anti-authoritarian discipline if you will.
We have an email list set up for initiating/continuing/making sense of discussions.
And we and the youngsters are meeting new people, keeping ourselves occupied for a few hours and having fun.
It's early days, but the possibilities are endless.
So if anyone is interested, pm or just come along.
All welcome, bring ideas, kids (if you have them) and (yikes! non-sugary!) snacks to share.
