The Animation Art Show is a two day event in aid of LauraLynn House and Jack and Jill Foundation. First created in 2011 with the purpose of tapping into all the bubbling creativity emerging from the fast growing Animation industry in Ireland and using it for a greater cause, the team raised €2000 in 2011 and €8000 in 2012 with an auction of amazing art pieces donated by artists connected to the industry.
The pieces will be exhibited in the Science Gallery on the weekend of 2nd and 3rd of November, with the Art Auction taking place on Sunday in the Paccar Theatre in the Science Gallery.
Besides all the amazing art pieces entering the show (from paintings to prints, sculptures and even plushies) this year's show has also been very grateful for the donation of original cells and artwork from features like “The Land Before Time”, the Irish oscar nominated “Secret of Kells” and television shows like “Beavis and Butthead” and “King of the Hill”.
