I know next to nothing about these sorta things but it looks like you need to use legacy mapping into the EXs24 sampler in logic. How that is done is totally beyond me.

just drop the file into the anthony/Library/Application Support/Logic/Sampler Instruments/

open Logic, create new instrument track, open EXS29, load the Big Mono preset.

Or, just drag the .exs file onto logics drum machine in the assignments space there at the left.
