been listening to all the old emo bands lately like Braid, Cap N Jazz, Mineral etc, reliving my youth

the ones that always stood out for me were American Football. they came along a bit later but were totally amazing

think of the first unwed sailor album with vocals

any other fans?

oh yeh

that american football album is great. it gets a bit frustrating the way it takes about half a minute for em to sing the line of a song sometimes.i was reading recently that they just improvise most of the lyrics live.
the guitars are amzing in places

dunno, they just seemed like the ideal band: jazzy off time drumming, beautiful guitars, great lyrics...

pity we only got one album and a 7 inch off them

J Robbins in particular, was the worst....

Now, Cap'n jazz/owls/joan of arc people are legends....
