Affordable Guilbaud (1 Viewer)

Patrick Guilbaud's son has opened a new restaurant/wine bar place . Food looks affordable (€13 for pasta; €25 or so for fish/meat) or maybe you could hang out sipping an aul vino. I'm going to check it out tomorrow before gavin Lanbe-Murphy takes it over. I'll report back. They do a free slub salad too.

It's called Venu and is in a side street off Sth Anne St (opposite Chili Club).

did thou knowest that you can have lunch in there midweek for 30 quid? Or you used to be able to anyway. I've eaten in the cellar restaurant in the merrion before - V nice. Lovely food, fantastic service, the only thing that lets it down is that it is in a cellar.

that cellar is great for earwiggin' in on other peoples conversations. i had a great chuckle at a couple breaking up in there once.
