Advice on buying a fax machine (1 Viewer)

I know this isn't very rock and roll, but have any of you bought and/or used fax machines? We need to buy a standard machine (probably an inkjet) that will double as our main telephone.

Who uses Fax machines anymore? Anyway, they're really evil. I picked up one in an Eircom shop a couple of years ago, quite reasonable, but you might want to check it against Currys or somewhere. Around 150, I think.

I don't have much use for a fax; it's actually for my Dad.

I checked in town today; Curry's had nothing, but Officescope had a Brother Inkjet for €175. It'll either be that or a Samsung Inkjet, if one is available.

I figure it's better to get an inkjet than a thermal transfer machine - those yolks look like they'd fall apart after a few months.
