In the 10 years they’ve been a band, New Found Glory remain the same five friends they were back then who started making music because there was nothing better to do in the Southern Florida suburbs. Having released numerous studio albums, their influences range from emo to pop-punk to hardcore and beyond.

A sequel to the band’s similarly titled 2000 EP for Drive-Thru Records, ‘From The Screen To Your Stereo Part 2’ is the latest offering from the 5 piece who recorded Part 2 as free agents, working out a deal with their long-time friends at Drive-Thru after leaving their label Geffen whom they had been with for many years.

Working on the majority of the tracks for the latest album at their own Rosewood Studios in guitarist Chad Gilbert’s new home base of Tyler, Texas, Gilbert sounds most proud of the fact that the band have charted their career path just they made their latest album: for the love of the music, and on their own terms.

“After doing the Warped Tour again this year,” Gilbert says of the annual festival NFG headlined for the third time in 2007. “I realized that we’re at the point where we’ve earned a lot of people’s respect. We’ve been a band for a long time and we haven’t changed; we’re still the same five guys we were in 1997.”

Nine IX Lives (Pronounced Nine eye ex Lives. but Nine Lives if you it more) are a straight up pop-punk band from Dublin, Ireland. Their inspiration goes from Jawbreaker, Husker Du, Green Day, Against Me!, At the Drive-In, Fugazi, Alkaline Trio, and the B-52's.

Playing around since 2005, they completed a summer tour of Ireland in 2006. In Summer 2007 is when things started to move quickly however when they were asked to support Canadian band Billy Talent at Dublin's Ambassador Theatre. The following month their CD/EP "Like The Flames Attract The Moths" was released through their own record label Verifier Labs. In support of the release, the band played numerous gigs around the country along with 2 release gigs in Dublin’s Voodoo Lounge and the other as an in-store in Tower Records.

Continuing in support of this release, they took to the stage in Dublin with one of the best pop punk bands ever The Undertones (and without whom, who knows if Conor would have ever started a band). Following on from this, the 4 piece completed a small Irish tour with Welsh ska-punk band 3 Minute Warning in late 2007.

The band is currently holed up in the suburbs of the capital writing some new songs for a 2008 release. The band will decamp to Grouse Lodge Studio’s in Co. Westmeath over the Christmas period to lay down some of the new songs.
