I'm really enjoying The Midnight Sun by C Duncan this last couple of days - lovely lush synth pop

Dunno if this one has come up yet but an unexpected discovery this year for me was Elza Soares and her 2016 Woman At The End Of The World album. She is a 79 year old Brazilian samba singer (once married to footballer Garrincha). Dunno what her more traditional stuff is like but this one is off-kilter oddball Brazilian pop with lots of electronics and gets almost Beefheartian in places. Really great.

And this is the best of the rest, there was a good few EPs and songs that stood out on albums that didn't make the top 20
