So I'm beginning my courtship of a young lady tonight.
But I can never think of a pub that's suitable for a date.

I want atmosphere, and decent tunes maybe, but I don't want it to be so loud that I'm bellowing in her ear, all onion breath and spittle.

I want favourable mood lighting but I don't want some dingy shithole.

Any ideas? And it's Friday too, which rules out a heap of pubs due to after work crowding

Should I just pick up a bottle of Jameson and bring her to Gazzer's gaff?

Jaysis, I got dumped by the last one almost a year ago. That's hardly "getting around", now is it?

I'm off to see The Wrestler now to get psyched up/get myself into a brooding, aggressive mindset.

Pantone, can I come to your practice too? I love space pop and watching first dates very closely, so this is a great opportunity.

the munster match is on tonight so expect a lot of pubs to have it on.
do people in "Leinster" watch Munster matches? sure half of Cork lives here?
