I'm frequently reluctant to move to an empty seat for fear of offending.... or disappointing - I smell so good. :) But, I never hesitate to move to a different seat (even if it's not a window one) if the person beside me or behind me is yabbering into their phone or leaking some atrocious tunes.

Definitely. I often wonder how effective they are for the payer, cause I have a ridiculous aversion to them, and I can't be the only one. Some people click on them deliberately, even when they have no interest, cause they want the payer to be charged.

Possibly. The thing with Twitter is that it is so of-the-moment. Tweets older than 40-60 mins are rarely read. So if you tweet something, looking for a response, other users will reply within an hour, or not at all. Likewise, if you reply to a Tweet, most users will see it and respond or not...
